Three ways to engage with your AI research
Each service is designed for a distinct stage or type of need. They can be used independently or in sequence depending on your situation.
Back to HomeHow we work, regardless of service type
Every engagement — regardless of scope — follows the same underlying pattern: we begin by understanding your specific situation rather than mapping it onto a pre-existing framework. The scoping conversation is where we establish what you are trying to learn or decide, what constraints you are working within, and what a useful output looks like for your team.
From there, we design a work plan that is both methodologically defensible and practically achievable within your timeline and budget. We document every step, share findings as they emerge where appropriate, and deliver a final output that is written to be used — not filed.
We hold ourselves to the same standards we apply to literature we evaluate: clear claims, cited evidence, acknowledged uncertainty, and honest communication of limitations. No finding presented without supporting reasoning.
Applied AI Research Partnership
A structured research collaboration for organisations with a defined AI research question that falls outside the scope of standard consulting or development work — typically involving novel problem formulations, limited prior literature, or data environments that require careful methodological design.
The engagement begins with a detailed scoping discussion to establish research objectives, evaluation criteria, and reporting milestones. All methods and findings are documented to a standard suitable for internal publication or external dissemination where appropriate.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
Scoped and priced before commencement. Excludes GST.
PROCESS STEPS
Define objectives, evaluation criteria, and constraints
Agree on methodology and milestone schedule
Research conducted, with interim updates at milestones
Complete report with methodology, findings, and summary
Literature Review & Technology Landscape Analysis
A thorough, structured review of the current state of research and applied practice in a specific AI domain — synthesised into a written report that maps the key approaches, their practical maturity, known limitations, and the open questions your organisation may want to consider.
Useful as a foundation for an internal research agenda, a procurement process, or a strategic decision about where to invest in AI capability. Delivered with an annotated bibliography and an executive summary suitable for non-specialist readers.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
Scope agreed before commencement. Excludes GST.
PROCESS STEPS
Define the AI domain and the questions the review should address
Search, filter, and qualify sources across academic and practitioner literature
Identify patterns, gaps, and relevant open questions
Structured written report plus annotated bibliography delivered
Research Design & Methodology Advisory
Focused advisory support for internal teams designing an AI research study or evaluation — covering research question formulation, experimental design, dataset requirements, evaluation metric selection, and the practical constraints that affect research validity in applied settings.
Delivered as two to three advisory sessions with written notes after each, producing a methodology document your team can use as the foundation for the research work itself.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
Fixed for two sessions; three-session option available. Excludes GST.
PROCESS STEPS
Understand your team's situation, prior work, and intended research question
Two to three structured sessions covering key design dimensions
Written notes with recommendations delivered after each session
Consolidated document your team can use to execute the research

Professional standards across all services
PDPA-compliant data handling
All data handled in compliance with Singapore's PDPA 2012. Specific data handling requirements are set out in each engagement agreement.
Structured quality review
All research outputs are reviewed by a second team member before delivery. Methodological claims are checked against the documented evidence before inclusion in reports.
Full confidentiality
Research questions, data, and findings are treated as strictly confidential. Nothing from client engagements is referenced or used in other work.
AI Governance alignment
Work is conducted in alignment with Singapore's Model AI Governance Framework. Ethical dimensions of research questions are surfaced and discussed proactively.
Responsive communication
All enquiries receive a response within one business day. Session notes are delivered within two business days. Issues that affect scope or timeline are flagged promptly.
Scope agreed in writing
Every engagement is preceded by a written scope agreement that defines deliverables, timeline, and price. No work commences without this in place.
